October 3 Day 9 Pacific City, OR to Newport, OR (55.7 miles)

Best of Day: The views as we bike along the Pacific Coastal highway and within the Coastal Forest become more spectacular every day!  Espresso drive-throughs at every intersection!!! 

Worst of Day:  Not enough time to take pictures!  Found a tourist to take Picture 2 before we came into Newport.

 

Quote of Day:  As we were going through some road construction, I asked the flag person if we should ride or walk our bikes through the gravel.  He said (with completely straight face), "You should ride through, and hurry....Mexico is a long way yet."
